On Thursday November 21st at 10pm, My job abruptly and without warning, informed that Bark Social would be permanently closing effectively immediately. The closure of Bark Social is devastating to many, but the impact to the Alexandria location was immense. For many of us, Bark Social Alexandria was unique in its tight knit community feel, where we all had the chance to meet one another, get to know each others furbabies would be cared for by the most amazing staff.I have learned that Bark Social itself is filing for bankruptcy, and we will not receive severance. I was  absolutely devastated and appalled at the way Bark Social has treated its loyal staff members. Not only was I  uninformed of this closure, but now must worry about how I will survive with no means of help. With this being so close to the holidays, I was unable to spend time with my family pay any bills or be in the holiday spirit. I am on the brink of homelessness and I’m in dire need of help.
